Closed-toe shoes required, secured by tie or Velcro
No sandals – no crocs – no bare feet

The board is concerned about potential liability of “improper footwear” on the court.
There could be insurance complications with the allowance of crocs and other soft soled shoes.
Crocs are not recommended for playing tennis or pickleball due to a lack of proper support and stability, which can increase the risk of injury.
With the sport’s quick movements and changes in direction, they lack the necessary features found in tennis shoes, such as arch support, heel stability, and adequate traction for the court.
We are enforcing this as best we can at this time, and we are sorry for any frustration this may cause your kiddo.
We are hoping to have waivers or a policy in place soon to mitigate this confusion for all members and kiddos.
